Contributors are part of our community and contribute with posts, photographs, links and other insights. If you're interested in becoming an Ethics Contributor, email blo[email protected]. We will need some information, such as a short bio and a photo to use for the Chi We page.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS AND AUTHORS

  • Posts must contain between 500 and 1500 words
  • They should preferably include at least one image
  • Must include at least one internal link (referring to a similar post already posted on the blog) and/or external
  • Each image included in the post must have the caption: Last Name, Title (year)
  • To embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo, use the video
  • At the end of the drafting, you must select at least one Category (for student posts, you must select the Student Category and you can select more)
  • At the end of the draft, you must assign at least 2 tags
  • You must insert or provide admins with a featured image for the post cover (minimum size 800 x 500)
  • Citations and eventual final bibliography must follow the author-date system according to the Chicago Manual of Style
  • The final bibliography must be entered as a bulleted list (see other published posts)
  • During the writing process, give your post the appropriate status, so save it (don't publish it!):
    • Idea: initial stage of drafting, possibly to be evaluated
    • Work in progress: you are working on the post several times by updating it from time to time
    • Draft: The post is finished and is saved as a draft
    • Submitted: the post is finished and is delivered to evaluate its publication (which will then be made by the author)
    • Under review: Only if you make changes to a post you've already published.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS AND AUTHORS

  • The posts must include at least 1 internal link (to a similar or connected post already published in the blog) and/or 1 external link
  • Each image calls for a description
  • There is a specific tool in order to embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo
  • At the end of writing, it is necessary to select at least 1 Category and 2 tags
  • It is necessary to set or provide the admins with a featured image (min. size 800 x 500)
  • Quotations and final references must attain to the author-date system and follow the Chicago Manual of Style
  • Final bibliographic reference list must be formatted as dotted list (see other published posts)
  • During the writing process, please assign to the post the appropriate status, then save it (don't publish it!):
    • Idea: pitch initial phase, also for submitting a proposal
    • Work in progress: the author is still working on the post which is not complete yet
    • Draft: the post is considered a concluded draft
    • Submitted: the post is delivered and now a reviser can review it for publication (which must be done by the author in the end)
    • Under review: when a published post is edited by the author, this is the status for a double check by a reviser before updating the published post.
